Benone Strand

Benone Strand, one of Ireland’s longest beaches with golden sand,
backed by majestic cliffs, offering panoramic views to Inishowen, the
North Coast and Scotland. Benone plays host to a range of activities
and events including shore angling, power kiting and body boarding.
The perfect spot to splash in the surf, build a sandcastle or simply relax
and enjoy the view!
Boasting one of the largest dune systems in the UK and Ireland, the
beach and dune land are recognised as having European importance
and are part of Magilligan Special Area of Conservation. Explore this
fascinating spot at your leisure via the boardwalks through the dunes
or look for the variety of shells that can be found on the beach after a
storm.July & August lifeguards on duty daily 11am – 7pm
