Bray

Around 20kms south of the city, this Co. Wicklow town celebrates its coastal location with Ireland’s National Aquarium – the National Sea Life Centre. The town’s Victorian Esplanade and panoramic cliff-top Bray Head Walk afford splendid sea views. And its plethora of Irish pubs and restaurants ensure a daytrip to remember. Katie Taylor, Ireland’s 2012 Olympic boxing gold medallist, is the town’s most famous native. Bray is around a 45min journey by DART from Dublin city centre, and St. Kevin’s Bus Service to Glendalough (see listing left) also stops here.
