This self-confessed “drinking bar with a music problem” is located in the heart of Dublin city centre. Sweeney’s Bar plays host to more than 60 live bands per week, from Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Blues, Trad, Hip Hop, Indie and everything in-between. Spread across 3 floors, each stage is kitted out with top of the range industry spec equipment to provide the best sounds. Home to Dimestore Recordings, Reggae Fever, Retro Revival, The Boneyard Junkies, Gotcha, D-Riculous All Stars, Sweeney’s Jazzmen, FOAD, LOQ and many many more. Whiskey is the name of the game in the basement bar, with a wide range of regular and premium whiskeys on offer in the Jameson Bar. Sweeney’s also carries its very own Sweeney’s draught beer, on sale at only €4. Free entry most nights.
