Palm House

This meeting place for the city’s students, families and couples first opened in 1895. Its grounds are a profusion of colourful flowerbeds, expansive lawns and magnificent trees. Take a steamy jungle walk in the Tropical Ravine or marvel at the collection of outstanding tropical flora in the iron-and-glass Victorian Palm House. The Ulster Museum (closed for major renovations) and a statue of Victorian scientist Lord Kelvin are located within the grounds.
