Located along the banks of the iconic River Boyne,
the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre is located
in the restored 18th century Oldbridge House.
Fought in July 1690, between King William III
and King James II, the battle was the largest ever
attended battle in Ireland with over 60,00 troops
present. Explore the history of the battle with
interactive displays of costumes, weaponry and
life of the soldiers. Relax in the beautiful Victorian
Gardens. Enjoy a browse in the Gift Shop and
lunch in the Tea Rooms. Events throughout the
year. Guided tours on request. Open : All Year. 9
am- 5 pm Summer, 9 am to 4 pm Winter. Located
5 km from Exit 9 off the M1 Motorway
