Witness History is located in
the iconic GPO (General Post
Office) building. The GPO
was a focal point of the 1916
Easter Rising and the visitor
attraction focuses on the
rising, the aftermath of this
rebellion and modern Irish
history up to the present. Also see the first ever permanent Irish Flag exhibition.
This engaging and interactive experience brings history to life though electronic
touch screens video, audio visual booths, sound and authentic artefacts –many
previously unseen. Adult €14. Concessions apply.
Open: Mon-Sat 10.00 am-5.30 pm, Sun & Bank Holidays 12 pm-5.30pm. Last
admission 4.30 pm. July & Aug (Late Opening Thurs) 10.00 am – 8.00 pm Last
