Inishowen Maritime Museum & New Planetarium is conveniently located in the old coastguard station, only 100 yards from the Lough Foyle ferry landing at Greencastle. Listed as one of the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ gems the museum has an extensive collection of artefacts, exhibitions and memorabilia of all things maritime, from emigration to basking sharks.
Our New planetarium projection system gives audiences of all ages an opportunity to view various shows that provides a feeling of full sensory immersion unlike any standard classic planetarium or cinema! Our new full dome theatre runs four shows each day and you do not have to be interested in just astronomy and science to enjoy the experience, we also offer shows on prehistoric sea monsters, our global climate and our kids favourite the Enchanted Reef! Opening times- Easter through September Mon-sat 9.30am – 5.30pm. Sundays 12.00 – 5.30pm. October-Easter Monday to Friday. 9.30am to 5pm (other times by appointment)
