KENNEDY’S

30-32 Westland Row, D2
t. + 353 (0)1 679 9077, www.kennedyspub.ie,
Founded in 1850 as a small grocer’s shop, Mrs Kennedy quickly realised that
installing a tap selling pints o’ porter could earn an extra couple of well-needed
schillings come rent-day. While the choice has somewhat improved to include
some world renowned IPA’s, stouts and ales; the old-worldly charm still remains.
Their famous ex-employee, Oscar Wilde, graces the walls where he once stacked
shelves. Located beside the three O’Callaghan hotels, there is always a serious
buzz at lunchtimes and after-work but
you can always find somewhere to plonk
yourself down and sip on a nice cold pint
or one of their renowned Irish Coffees. Be
warned, with food served until 10pm each
night, it is hard to resist a bowl of their
fabulous chicken wings or enormous fish
& chips once you see them served at the
table beside you.
Open: Mon-Thurs 10am-11.30pm, Fri- Sat 10am-late, Sun 12pm-11pm.
